Elected in January 2022 as head of the Royal Moroccan Archery Federation, Hamid Ada, a senior official in the departement of Water and Forests, has only one idea in mind: to add to the national list of the most beautiful titles in this Olympic discipline.
Surrounded by a proactive and results-oriented management team, Mr. Ada succeeded in injecting new blood into this Olympic sport of precision and concentration after five months.
Indeed, remarkable efforts have been made by the new board to remobilize the regional branches of the Federation. These efforts are manifested through the multiplication of competitions in the 12 regions of the Kingdom, the reinforcement of training in administrative management, refereeing and coaching aiming at widening the base of practitioners of this noble Olympic sport.
However, the means made available to the Federation remain insufficient, even derisory, with regard to the objectives set by the new board, knowing that the sports equipment allocated is very expensive.
Particular attention must be paid by the governmental authorities and other partners to help the new management team to achieve this common objective: to raise the national colours high in continental and international competitions.
